BO guidelines for reporting entities in Jordan

First activity to kick-off 2022 in Jordan!

Yesterday marked the launch of a new beneficial ownership activity in Jordan, focused on the “Beneficial Ownership Guidelines for Reporting Entities” developed by local authorities.

✅This guideline constitutes an important step toward addressing the FATF’s action plan of Jordan on BO.
✅It is likewise an important document that will increase the understanding of the BO disclosure requirements as well as
✅the consistency of the BO identification and
✅the verification processes that reporting entities have to put in place.

Building on the previous consultations and work conducted with the Global Facility on the BO regulation, further discussions will be organised in the coming months to finalise the review of those guidelines and disseminate them to reporting entities and relevant private sector stakeholders.
