Last week, our Senior Expert on Justice Victoria Palau represented the EU Global Facility at the GAFILAT Plenary in Buenos Aires, after a scoping mission conducted in Montevido.
Upon the invitation of the Latin and Central American FSRB, the EU Global Facility participated in the Plenary and the Working Group on Training and Development.
During the meeting, our expert presented the results of the joint regional Conference on Beneficial Ownership, which was jointly organised with GAFILAT in Panama last November.
In parallel to the sessions, she held bilateral meetings with representatives from Argentina, Paraguay 🇵🇾 and Ecuador 🇪🇨 as well as with other technical assistance providers operating in the region, including Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, the International Monetary Fund, the OAS etc) to discuss coordination and potential synergies.
