Today, the EU Global Facility organises its very first activity targeted at Turkish Not-for-Profit Organisations in Istanbul 🇹🇷!
This marks the very first onsite capacity building activity with representatives of the civil society in Turkiye, who are coming not only from Istanbul, but also from Ankara and other regions of the partner country.
Centered around the compliance with international requirements of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) Rec 8 on NPOs, this workshop is co-organised with the local Turkish NPO –TUSEV and the Global NPO Coalition on FATF.
It involves EU GF experts from the UK, the Netherlands and Georgia, who will spend two days covering topics ranging from consequences of the non-risk based implementation of Rec 8, risk assessment, self-regulation and joint advocacy strategies, among others.
This workshop is part of a series of technical assistance activities carried out by the EU Global Facility in Turkiye, as agreed as part of the workplan designed with the Turkish authorities in 2022.
