In 2023, the EU AML/CFT Global Facility received a request for technical assistance from Ukraine and began being actively engaged to support the country in enhancing its AML/CFT framework, with a specific focus on BO, Virtual Assets (VAs) and the NPO sector.

Since then, the project has been delivering numerous technical assistance activities to the partner country, ranging from support to risk assessments, workshop on “Turning Intelligence to Evidence”, training on statistics, among many others.

The EU Global Facility on AML/CFT remains committed to supporting its Ukrainian partners amidst the challenging times.
